Who writes this information

The patient information on this website is prepared for Dr Bappaditya Har, Liver Transplant & HPB Surgeon at Narayana RN Tagore Hospital, Kolkata, and published under his name. It explains liver transplant, liver, bile duct, gallbladder and pancreas conditions in plain language for patients and families.

How content is prepared

Pages are based on established clinical practice and widely accepted guidance in hepatology, liver transplantation and HPB surgery, and on the questions families ask in clinic. Figures such as survival rates are given only as general, published ranges and are never presented as the results of an individual surgeon or hospital.

We avoid promotional claims. We do not publish testimonials that promise results, and patient reviews shown on the site are reproduced from Google with names as displayed there.

Keeping pages current

Every page shows the date it was last updated. Pages are reviewed when treatment practice or Indian transplant regulations change, and at least once a year.

Corrections

This website carries no advertising and does not accept payment to mention any product, drug or company. Treatment is provided at Narayana RN Tagore Hospital, Kolkata, where Dr Har practises.
